Islay, the "Queen of the Hebrides" is the perfect location for a romantic wedding and the Port Mòr Centre in Port Charlotte is registered to hold Civil Marriage ceremonies.

Set in beautiful surroundings just outside the conservation village of Port Charlotte, marriages can be held anywhere in the centre's grounds which includes a small sandy beach or in the event of bad weather, in the beautiful glass fronted room which offers spectacular views over Lochindaal.


This room can accommodate up to around 60 people and Port Mor can cater for all your wedding requirements. 


However if you wish only to hire our facilities for your reception, then there are many beautiful locations to hold your *Marriage Ceremony,  from glorious beaches and historical sites, to one of Islay's iconic distilleries.


 *A religious marriage - which includes other beliefs, may take place anywhere and can be solemnised only by a minister, clergyman, pastor, priest or any other person entitled to do so under the Marriage (Scotland) Act 1977. 

A Civil Ceremony can only be held in Registry Office or at an approved place
